FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
What exactly do you do in coaching?
Coaching is like having a personal GPS for your life goals. I help you discover what you truly want, identify what's holding you back, and create a clear roadmap to get there. We work together to unlock your potential, build confidence, and turn your dreams into actionable plans. Think of me as your thinking partner - someone who asks the right questions, challenges your limiting beliefs, and celebrates your wins along the way.
Who needs coaching?
Anyone who wants to live their best life! You might get extra benefit from coaching if you:
-
Feel stuck or uncertain about your next steps
-
Have big dreams but don't know how to achieve them
-
Want to make a major life change (career, relationships, lifestyle)
-
Struggle with confidence or self-doubt
-
Keep procrastinating on important goals
-
Feel overwhelmed by life's challenges
-
Want to improve your relationships or communication skills
-
Are a teenager navigating the complexities of growing up
-
Simply want to unlock more of your potential
You don't need to be broken to benefit from coaching - you just need to be ready to grow.
How is coaching different from therapy?
While therapy often focuses on healing past wounds and addressing mental health issues, coaching is future-focused and action-oriented. We concentrate on where you want to go, not where you've been. Coaching assumes you're already whole and capable - we just help you access that power. If you're dealing with serious mental health concerns, I'd recommend therapy first, but many people benefit from both!
What can I expect from our sessions?
Each session is tailored to you, but here's what typically happens:
-
We start by checking in on your progress and celebrating wins
-
We dive deep into whatever challenge or goal is most pressing
-
I ask powerful questions that help you think differently
-
We identify action steps you'll take before our next meeting
-
You leave with clarity, motivation, and a concrete plan
Sessions are 60 minutes and feel more like an energizing conversation with a trusted friend than a formal appointment.
How long does coaching take to see results?
Everyone's journey is unique, but most clients start feeling more clarity and motivation after just 2-3 sessions. Significant breakthroughs often happen around sessions 4-6, and lasting transformation typically solidifies by the end of our program (10-14 sessions). The key is consistency and your commitment to taking action between sessions.
Do you offer online sessions?
Absolutely! Many of my clients prefer online sessions for their convenience and comfort. Whether we meet in person or virtually, the coaching experience is equally powerful. All you need is a quiet space and a good internet connection.
What if I'm not sure coaching is right for me?
That's totally normal! The best way to find out is through a complimentary discovery call. We'll spend 10 minutes talking about your goals, challenges, and what you're looking for. By the end, you'll have a clear sense of whether coaching feels right for you - no pressure, just clarity.
What makes your coaching approach unique?
I combine deep listening with powerful questions, practical tools with big-picture thinking, and gentle support with loving accountability. My approach is highly personalized - what works for one person might not work for another, so we'll find YOUR unique path to success. Plus, I genuinely believe that everyone has everything they need inside them already - my job is just to help you access it.
From what age can someone start coaching?
The appropriate age for coaching depends on the individual child's maturity level and readiness to engage in the coaching process. With my extensive experience working with young people, I've found that most teenagers are ready to benefit from coaching around age 15, though this can vary based on the individual. At this age, most teens have developed sufficient self-awareness and communication skills to actively participate in goal-setting and personal development work. For younger children, I assess each case individually to determine if they're developmentally ready for the coaching experience.
